Fantastic location, with security, 2 min to shops and 5 min to the beach. Also close to the Ado tourist bus station. Don't look any further, as you will be delighted here. Miguel was a perfect host we could imagine, he upgraded our room to Master, which was the best place we stayed in our 16 days trip in Mexico. Clean, spacious bathroom, massive comfortable bed, night lamps lights, A/C great location- not in your face. As we had to wait for our late flight, we were offered to use common areas like living room, kitchen and bathroom, shower. I can't express how much we loved our stay. Miguel's suggestions for food were spot on, especially the Argentinian steak place. Thank you Miguel!

A small hotel kept with love and lots of details. Beautiful lush garden, lots of privacy and all you need for the room and the pool. They kindly changed my dates, stored my bag, helped me with travel arrangements and useful tips around Tulum. Rooms are spacious, beds are good, showers hot. Coffee maker in the room and hot/cold water refill available. Really, a great choice!

Guests can explore the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, Tulum and Coba. The Lunata Hotel is within a short walk of the boutiques, shops and nightlife of the trendy Fifth Avenue. This was my 4th visit to Hotel Lunata in Playa del Carmen since 2002. On the surface, very little has changed over the years. In this case, that is a very good thing! Of course there has been some modernization in that time, such as very good WiFi for each room, however the warm and inviting room design, the friendly staff and the overall impression the hotel leaves have all not changed. We again had a very pleasant visit and were sad to leave. The breakfast is very basic with some cereals, tea, coffee and toast. It’s enough to get you going into the day, but it’s not a feast and is not the main focus of this boutique hotel. It is self-service in the Lunata natural garden, just like it was in 2002. We brought some fruits from the market and the staff offered to peel and cut the fruit for us. Fantastic service.

The location was amazing, really quite and can enjoy the (private) Beach. We have enjoyed it that much and extended one more Day. The staff are friendly and attentive, plus the breakfast was very good.
