The hotel is a rustic building made of bricks and stone. It is complete with a roof garden, breakfast room, and bar. Free parking is provided. The view is just simply breath taking, to be able to have your breakfast outdoors overlooking the hills was a major highlight of our trip. A very classic Tuscan hotel, very clean, staff were super friendly and not only was the view incredible, the breakfast itself was far more than we expected with all homemade cakes, croissants etc. it felt like home from home.

Dating back to the 11th century, Leon Bianco is in Piazza della Cisterna, one of San Gimignano’s main squares. During summer, breakfast is served on the quiet, relaxing terrace.

Rooms have original features such as wood-beamed ceilings and modern amenities including air conditioning and satellite TV. WiFi access is available in the lobby and rooms. There is also an internet point. The location is perfect, the view stunning, overlooking a landscape right out of a fairy tale. The rooms are spacious and super comfortable, the building impressive, breakfast on the terrace and the ping pong table a nice surprise. Great hotel, great staff, we will come back. Driving up to the hotel is possible though challenging, we preferred to park at P2 and walk up the pedestrian street.
