We like everything about the property, the perfect location in the center of old city of Matera. We had the chance to have a room upgrade and we really liked the room. The staff was excellent and we didn't have anything to complain about.

Here is in a great location, within walking distance of Matera's main street. If you're coming by car, park at the saragat parking lot outside the Sassi district, as advised by the host, and take the bus for 1.5 euros per person, which drops you off right in front of the property. The parking lot is very reasonable at 5 euros per day! The property has a terrace with a very nice view of Matera. The room conditions are very comfortable and clean, and the hosts are very friendly. For breakfast, you'll be served delicious homemade food prepared by your hosts. Highly recommended!

Surrounded by the unspoilt landscape of the Murgia Materana Nature Park, Hotel Cave del Sole is just outside Matera's historic centre.

A great hotel very close to Matera with all the amenities. The staff was very kind, the breakfast exceeded all our expectations, in an amazing place next to the lawn. I really wish we could stay longer.
