Double room was a standard UK double. So if you want a larger room and bed, book a twin room and request for the beds to be joined. Room is bigger with more space to put stuff. It is 'Highly Commended' by the AA. This little inn is an absolute gem of sumptuous welcome, class, and comfort. The dinners and breakfasts were served in a charming, well-lighted room. The food was superb, imaginative, and all taken care of by thoroughly professional staff. A true gem. The Le Palmier room was so roomy and had the biggest bath I have ever seen. What a joy!

It has a bar, library, and its Victorian walled garden is the largest in Canterbury. The staff were wonderful and bent over backwards to look after us. Not often you experience this level of service. We loved the decor of the rooms and facilities. Also only 5min walk from the train station. Great outdoor area too.
