The bright and airy bedrooms at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge each have a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee facilities. All rooms feature a modern bathroom, and many have cathedral views. Staying on Cathedral grounds was absolutely magical. The Lodge has a very lovely large garden with a dreamy view of the cathedral, a beautiful breakfast area with a very nice outside space, and the lounge looked inviting too. Breakfast options were wonderful. The room was pretty and practical, everything was spotless. Strolling on the grounds in the evening, when all the touristy hustle and bustle was over, was meditative and magical.

Around 7 miles from Sissinghurst Castle and 4 miles from Bedgebury Pinetum, this Weald of Kent inn dates back to 1561 and offers free parking and WiFi. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Beautiful inn with historical character. Very comfortable rooms and beds with modern bathrooms. Spotlessly clean. Adequate free parking in the lot outside. Very nice small touches like a small thermos of fresh milk left outside the door every morning for tea. Absolutely outstanding fully cooked breakfast supplemented with Continental breakfast items as well. An additional plus was the absolutely delicious evening meals available in the Restaurant/Pub located downstairs. The chef running the kitchen is clearly very talented. The Queen's Inn surpassed our expectations on all counts, and we would highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

It is 'Highly Commended' by the AA. This little inn is an absolute gem of sumptuous welcome, class, and comfort. The dinners and breakfasts were served in a charming, well-lighted room. The food was superb, imaginative, and all taken care of by thoroughly professional staff. A true gem. The Le Palmier room was so roomy and had the biggest bath I have ever seen. What a joy!
