This hotel is divided into 2 buildings from the 18th-century, a former school, from Napoleon III period. Hôtel de Biencourt is located in Azay-le-Rideau, in the Parc naturel régional Loire-Anjou-Touraine. This is another place that rates quite high for my family, with 30 years of experience of traveling to Europe! The owner is phenomenal and warmly welcomed us when we arrived. As it was before our room was ready, we could leave our luggage at the property. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. The facilities, including our beautiful room and bathroom, are great. The breakfast room has plenty of options. The exterior courtyard was peaceful and charming. The location of the hotel is perfect, being a 1 minute walk to Chateau d'Azay-le-Rideau. The small village is serene and easy to explore during a short evening walk. We parked (2 nights) at the free spots in "Parking de La Passerelle", about 5 minutes away. There might be free overnight parking a bit closer at L'ilot d'Azay, but ask beforehand if it is free and legal. Definitely make Hotel de Biencourt your choice when in this part of France. You will not regret it!

La Maison du Carroir is an elegant B&B located in central Blois, just 550 metres from Blois Castle. A homemade, continental breakfast is served every day, and the B&B features a terrace in the enclosed garden. The entire experience of staying at La Maison du Carroir was delightful. The bedroom was very comfortable, large and perfectly charming. Breakfast was spectacular!

Lovely place and very quiet and peaceful. Roselyn, the owner, was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and very clean and breakfast was great.

You can enjoy a garden or village view from the room. Everything! This is a true family-run hotel with an absolutely wonderful host. He was very kind, communicative and always available, he showed us the entire hotel, explained everything in detail, helped us choose a restaurant, and even booked it for us. The breakfast he prepared was simple but excellent. The hotel itself is spotless and well taken care of, with spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, beautiful bed linen, and a very well-equipped kitchen. In the evening you can enjoy a drink: beers, wines and other beverages are available at very fair prices, with a surprisingly wide selection of wines. You can truly feel how much care goes into this place. And as a funny side note: they also have an absolutely lovely dog

Located in Chartres, 200 metres from Municipal Theatre of Chartres, Maunoury Citybreak provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property features garden and city views, and is less than 1 km from Chartres Train Station. This 4-star guest house offers private entrance. Loved everything - the hosts were lovely, the apartment was bigger than expected and beautifully styled. The airco was a welcome treat after spending two weeks in a heatwave. The bathroom looked like it was straight out of a five-star spa hotel. Bedrooms were spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need. Location was outstanding, just a one-minute walk into the centre of Chartres. The breakfast was fabulous, fresh bread, fruit, homemade yoghurt, cheese and cereals served on a private terrace, surrounded by trees. You can tell the hosts take a lot of pride in their work. We plan to come back to Chartres for a longer stay after staying here.

Clean, spacious room, comfortable bed, wonderful and warm service, and outstanding food (had an outstanding dinner in addition to very nice breakfast the next morning). Merci beaucoup.

It offers individually decorated rooms, free Wi-Fi and a garden with outdoor furniture. Very clean & quiet. Serene feeling. New, in excellent condition Staff very helpful, particularly Max & Clara. Big parking lot with 3 handicapped spaces. Tastefully done, overall. No real problems.
