Located 200 metres from the commercial centre and 150 metres from the beach, Hotel Boutique Don Pepe offers free Wi-Fi and a personalized a la carte breakfast in Santa Marta. The staff and customer service was some of the best I’ve ever seen! My fiancé and I celebrated Valentine’s Day and they set up a private dinner on the rooftop with rose pedals and it was lovely. All of the employees went above and beyond to make sure our stay was more than comfortable and accommodated our needs in every way. Location is great. Atmosphere of the hotel is so cute. 10/10 recommend!

Just half a block from Santa Marta’s Marina, Casa de Isabella, a Kali Hotel has rooms with iPod docking stations and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is really nice, it is located in the city centre of Santa Marta walking distance to all attractions, restaurants and bars. We stayed in the suite with a private terrace and a swimming pool with a great view, which was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Very good ratio quality/price.

Offering a restaurant and a private beach area, Gitana del Mar Beach Retreat is located on the secluded Caribbean coast of Buritaca. Free breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the room rate. The food was the most delicious thing ever! It defiantly made our stay there an incredible experience. I also like how relaxing and peaceful the place is.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool, rooftop tubs and a spa, Hotel Boutique Casa Carolina is located next to San Francisco Monastery in Santa Marta's historic center, and 200 metres from Santa Marta... Rooftop pool - we stayed in the apartment on the top floor (it was only $10 or so more dollars than a standard room and we were there for only one night) - it felt like the pool was our own. We used it upon arrival which was wonderful as we arrived to the high humidity from Bogota, as well as later at night before bed. The apartment was very spacious for the two of us and again, it felt like the entire terrace level was our own. With a simple/tasty breakfast and great staff, this was well worth the price we paid! Though we were only there for one night, it was probably our favorite of the 4 accommodations we stayed in Colombia (minus the location - not a huge fan of Santa Marta). We left the next day for the Lost City trek (intense but also so worth it!)
