Our room was spacious and comfy and the balcony big enough to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee. The staff very friendly and the breakfast very rich and delicious. Also here you could choose to eat inside or outside, on the lake shore, absolutely amazing! It is 5 min walk from the bus stop and in the city centre so walking distance to practically everything. The port is not even 50 m away. Would recommend it!

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. It offers a park with a pool, free WiFi and a limited number of free parking spaces. I liked the receptionist. She was very informative and very good person. I stayed at a female dormitory and the girls were really nice and very quiet so i had a good night sleep.

Plunge into the wonderful swimming pool amidst a large park after a day of doing sightseeing or business in Lugano. The old building itself, its history and decor made it my favorite immediately. The rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful too.
