Sitting alongside Hobart's waterfront, the historic Henry Jones Art Hotel offers luxurious rooms offering water or courtyard views. We have one of the LOFT studio (with sitting, kitchen, and bathroom / toilet below and the bed with another TV & air-cond/heater up-stair), and it was the best accommodation of our trip. The room is perfectly clean, the kitchen is well equipped with all sort of drinks (sparkling water, soft drink, juice, gin, whisky, vodka, wine...coffee, tea...even a traveller adapter and Panadol!!! - all at a price). The choice of movies (NEW and old) is fantastic - it will takes at least 10 days to finish with 24 hours continuous watching! In the bathroom, all towers are doubles (like for 4 persons, though it's a room for 2). At the ground floor are the lounge, bar, restaurant, and cafe (the breakfast was nice! & the manager a very easy going friendly person) and a big under-covered courtyard with lots of tables & chairs - there is also an art gallery. The location of the hotel is PERFECT for me, as my trip to Hobart is to try some nice foods around and take some photos. Also there is complementary valet parking for our car and was there ready in the morning when we check out - THANK YOU, GUYS!

It is located between Salamanca and Battery Point, giving you easy access to all the main tourist spots, but also local cafes and shops. It is a historic building that has been done up beautifully. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable with comfortable bed and a great shower. A real benefit for us were the guest laundry facilities that allowed us to wash clothes between between hiking/kayaking adventures. The hotel was brilliant at ensuring our bags (which we left in storage as we went hiking/kayaking) were put in our rooms, ready for our return. Overall, a brilliant hotel.

Offering lovely views towards Mount Wellington, the 1847 Islington Hotel offers luxurious accommodation with original artwork and precious antiques. We absolutely loved our stay at the Islington. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the staff were so lovely and accommodating, it felt like home to us and we cannot wait to go back. Special Shout our to Carrie absolutely amazing hostess !!!

Situated on Salamanca Place, Salamanca Suites offers spacious apartments with a balcony, just 100 metres from the edge of Sullivans Cove. There is a car rental facility available upon request. I was blown away by the Salamanca Suites. I told my partner I could see us moving in when we're ready to downsize, LOL! The suite was nicer than the flat I used to rent in central London. Everything about it was spectacular, down to small details like there being two luggage racks available instead of just the usual one (my poor partner always generously lets me use it while his suitcase lies on the floor). I was actually sad that we only had one night planned here, and actually we liked it so much we bailed on a terrible place near Freycinet after one night and made the drive back to Salamanca Suites for an unplanned second night instead. Highly recommend and hope we can come back someday.
