Located in a quiet bay right at the shore of Lake Wolfgang, the 4-star superior Cortisen is the first boutique hotel in the Salzkammergut region. Wi-Fi access is available free of charge. The hotel staff is super nice and friendly, he recommend us the activities and help us find a taxi during rainy season, made us enjoyed st Wolfgang more, would definitely recommend. Breakfast is also nice, and inner decoration is very artistic.

Pension Bergfried is located in Hallstatt, 150 metres from the shore of Lake Hallstatt. It offers functionally furnished rooms, some with a balcony. The city is amazing and the hotel nothing to complain about. It is a family business and all employees were very kind. One of the owners talked to me at breakfast and asked me if everything was ok and so on.

Family-run for 150 years and renovated in 2014, Seewirt Zauner is situated right on the historic market square in Hallstatt’s car-free centre and 150 metres from the waterfront at Lake Hallstatt. We had a great stay and found the Seewirt Zauner to be great value for money. The staff was very friendly and helpful and overall the experience was that of home comforts rather than a commercial hotel. The location is also second to none.

Overall, the hotel is excellent – it’s in a perfect location and has a very nice private beach (including SUP boards and rowboats available for guests). Breakfast was good and varied, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Parking is not always available on-site, but it’s not a big issue unless it’s raining heavily, as the hotel provides free parking just a two-minute walk away. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant once – the food was tasty but relatively expensive compared to other restaurants in the area.
