We enjoyed our stay of 5 nights , the room was spacious and light so it was nice to spend time there. We also enjoyed the balcony. It was also very clean! there was not a single dust to be found, the maids work hard everyday to make you arrive in a clean neat room. The pool was actually good maintained and lovely for a swim, this is something we did not see at other guesthouses. pool beds also very comfy. Last but not least: Penelope is very sweet and caring and wants your stay to be very comfortable !

I stayed in an apartment that is around 80 meter from the main building and the impressions reflect conditions on apartment building Location is central The place is safe and quiet . It is clean , has parking . Not dependent to hotel in Stellenbosch are 4-6 hours / day without power and really warm water is not all the time.

Rooms were entirely comfortable (loved the bathroom floor heating) with beautiful big beds and plenty of space. the gas fire gave great ambience and pumped out the heat! The staff were definitely the highlight for us - whether at breakfast, in the bar or restaurant for dinner, they were attentive, friendly and made our experience impeccable. The property itself is stunning. Our only disappointment is that we needed more time to explore it! The picknickery is definitely worth a visit, even if its to take some goods away for the drive home.

Lovane is a one love for our family. I've lived several months all around the SA in many regions - from Johannesburg to along the Great Ocean Road. I've also been almost everywhere around the world. And Lovane is the ultimately best place to stay in the whole region, and maybe even in the whole South Africa. The example of how a host with passion does everything right to provide amazing experience and not become a soulless business. I can write pages about how amazing Lovane is, but you have to try it yourself. It is a winery - and if you stay there, they offer you tasting, and the owner can show around and tell you everything about his experience. You will also find a bottle of their wine in your room as a present after check-in. It is a hotel - they have a fast WiFi, a pool, they offer amazing breakfast and ready to tell you everything about what to do and where to go. They are like old friends you came to visit. I want to come there again and again. It is a place to be - you have literally everything around. Other wineries (a lot), restaurants, activities - everything is in 5-10 minutes drive. The best destination to stay in Stellenbosch.
