The rooms were big enough, clean and cozy. Breakfast offered variety of fruits, cheese and charcuterie. On top of that you could ask for an omelette which lovely staff prepared for you. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely come back!

Avondrood is a small Cape Victorian-style guest house in the historical part of Franschhoek.

Location was superb, the staff were fantastic, lovely breakfast, spacious room with unbelievably comfortable bed. Peaceful and quiet even in high season.

Usually the Ivy apartments only does check-ins until 7pm, however our flight got delayed and they waited until 10pm to see us in. The staff are so friendly and considerate. Everything is in walking distance. We stayed in Apartment 6 and it was beautiful, warm, comfortable and so modern. Even though there was loadshedding, there was a backup system that kept our apartment lights in. And to top that, we were called and notified that we paid too much, and as a result we were moved to an even bigger apartment to balance the extra money we paid. It was one of the most pleasant stays ever. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Chapter House for one night and had a wonderful experience, wishing we could have stayed longer. Large and quiet room with nice interior design. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. There were enough parking lots reserved for hotel guests in front of the property and the overall premises felt safe. It is possible to walk to the restaurants on the main street, even during the evening. The entire staff made our stay very enjoyable and were happy to provide good local recommendations. By chance, prior to Chapter House we stayed at their sister hotel in Cape Town, which delivered the same level of quality.

We really enjoyed the breakfast. Yogurt, fruit and honey followed by toast and cooked if ordered. The dining area is beautiful and quiet and the staff are delightful and always smiling and helpful.

Breakfast was fabulous. A selection of juices, fruits, yoghurts , cold meats , pastries to choose from and a menu of hot choices served to you at your table. Staff were professional and friendly.
