I love this hotel because of it is not anonymously renovated. OK there are some things that could a little bit more fresh like the carpet in the corridor, but the atmosphere is so unique. You enter a bygone era and that is rather unique.

We've been travelling a lot and have stayed in many places. Usually, I would not take the time to leave a review for a hotel where we only stayed one night - I don't have the time. However, this hotel stood out positively in almost every aspect (most other places had some really nice aspects, but also some issues) and was really good value.

Housed in an 18th-century palace, this hotel blends a historical setting with picturesque views of the Lousã Mountains.

Dear reader Even though I don't usually give reviews because they are usually subjective, I would like to give one now. I stayed at this beautiful hotel together with a work colleague in CW12 2024. We were given a very warm welcome, almost like a family, and you could see how everyone looked after the guests. The breakfast was excellent and you got everything you needed the homemade bread or the rolls were very tasty. The restaurant was also very good, for the first time in my life I ate goat, a speciality, I can only recommend trying it. All in all it was a great time on site and I highly recommend this hotel.
