We didn"t have breakfast but we had dinner at the pub: delicious food and very nice staff. The apartments are really beautiful, tastefully renovated and furnished. We stayed in Snug no 2 that I really liked, but I would not recommend it to old people (bathtub embedded in the floor), but maybe it's something clearly explained on Booking/in the website. If I had to go back to the area, I would certainly stay there again!

The Rooms at the Apple Pie was perfectly located in the centre of Ambleside, an easy walk to all of the shops. Our room was an attic room - the ceiling definitely is a bit low for someone who is tall, but it was a great size and very comfortable, we had a great sleep. There was an honesty bar system for cokes and crisps among other things, but we had both breakfast and lunch (and an apple pie) from the delicious bakery and cafe next door. Highly recommend.

Situated in the heart of the village of Bowness-on-Windermere, this adult only guesthouse overlooks Lake Windermere. The ferry terminal and the marina are 3 minutes' walk away.

The location was top. You only have to walk a bit to reach the lake. The owner was there as we arrived and was really friendly. You get the breakfast (english breakfast or vegan version) from a pub across the stress but that was also nice. Everything was clean and the furnitures were really nice.
