Very beautiful and quiet place The view from the lodge ( and the shower !) and the restaurant isbreathtaking The staff is professional and very supportive and the food is really good Each lodge is new and clean, large, has a big bed, a big bathroom and a terrasse overlooking the AkageraPark. A discreet gem !

I spent two wonderful nights at Umurobyi Lodge in Kibuye and was deeply impressed from the very first moment. The owners gave me such a warm and genuine welcom. Their attention to every detail made my stay truly special. The full-board arrangement was perfect, with delicious meals carefully prepared and beautifully presented each day. The lodge itself is majestic yet cozy, offering a touch of luxury within a warm, family-style atmosphere. It truly feels like a home away from home. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking (Lake Kivu shimmering at sunrise, swimming cows along the shore, and the mysterious beauty of Bat Island nearby). A big thank-you to the entire team for making my stay unforgettable. I cannot wait to return!

The overall ambiance & location

This is such a great location and place to stay. The staff was so amazing, supportive and friendly all the time. They treated us well and provided all the amenities we needed to make our stay just great! We wish them all the best and hope they keep up the good work and services.

It was the tip until now at 5 countries in Africa .From the start until the end of was so professional and helpful.The taxi driver (partner of the hotel ) so friendly and knowledgeable.The Villa amazing design,so clean and the owner Justin she is cooking unbelievable cooking food like be in my country (Greece ) Mediterranean.Simply the best in Kigali and around Africa !!!!!!!!!

Really peaceful and are environment. The hotel also recommended a super company for the gorilla trekking experience and pick up from Kigali.

It was so quiet and chilled and the food was excellent. The staff were really friendly as were the other guests….. slept like a log, glorious views from our cabin and there was plenty to do (if u wanted to)…, We did a lovely boat trip around the other islands and a fantastic bike mountain bike ride thru rural Rwanda. We even stopped at a school to meet the children and see them in their classrooms…

Amata n' Ubuki hotel was a truly surpisingly superb selection of hotel, which I enjoyed staying at during my recent visit to Kigali Rwanda. Amata n' Ubuki is a delightful hotel with elegant and stylish decor throughout. It's clean, well-maintained, and features beautiful local art, creating a unique and sophisticated boutique atmosphere. The outdoor area, with the sparkling pool, garden, and lovely meal setting, is a particular standout for relaxation. It was heart-warming how the entire hotel staff went out of there way to make me feel welcome and relaxed. ​The hotel is situated in a nice ,quiet safe neighborhood in central Kigali, it offers quietude while being conveniently located. It's close enough to walk to the Kigali Convention Centre and a short drive from other attractions like Inema Art Center and the airport. From the hotel I enjoyed morning jogging tours and early evening strolls ​The rooms are comfy, perfectly clean, and individually decorated. I loved the attention to detail, including Yes, the premium bedding( Great Beds), air conditioning, and modern en-suite facilities. ​Wonderful Food & Dining: The Amata,, 'n Ubuki hotel restaurant and bar are excellent. The resturant was also a great experience , which features a blend of international and authentic African-inspired cuisine. The complimentary breakfast is a delicious start to the day, and dining by the poolside is a highlight. Here the resturant staff offers professional and personable service. A special thanks to Deborah and all the front desk staff) for their professionalism and simple kindeness for making all my transportation arrangements to and from the hotel. Members of my family and business from the USA will be traveling soon to Kigali Rwanda and will be booking staying at Amata n Ubuki Hotel ,truly "MILK AND HONEY" experience. Warm welcome by owner Philippe and the rest of the team. The place is brand new with very tastefully decorated lodges. The view on Lake Kivu is amazing and the food delicious (the best we had so far in Rwanda!). The eco and community aspects of this project are a strong plus. Lots of activities to do. Once the swimming pool will be ready, this will truly be a little paradise. Getting there by boat from Gisenyi or Kibuye is the best way to get there.

Lovely place, well located, amazing staff, very good food, comfortable common areas and rooms, attention to detail including boot cleaning, foot massages, bed warmers, nice fireplace in room, bathrobes and slippers, tea in room, lovely garden, etc.
