Casa Amalia is a hidden gem and offers incredible value for your money. The self-check-in system was super easy! The statues in the courtyard and the beautiful murals really add a unique charm to the villa. My room was spacious, spotless, and had a great AC. The location is ideal, around the corner of the big resorts, and just minutes from Jan Thiel Beach and the Tugboat Beach. There are plenty of restaurants nearby (I liked Brisa Do Mar), and also a Dutch supermarket at Jan Thiel Beach. I even discovered a scenic path that connects Jan Thiel Beach to Mambo Beach. I highly recommend Casa Amalia to anyone looking for a local and safe getaway while enjoying great value.

Featuring a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace, Villa Amalie & Villa Curiel is located in Willemstad and is 1 km from Playa Marichi. Our hosts, Paul and Roger, were exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating. They provided transport to and from the airport which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast, simple and nutritious, is included in the price of the stay. Our hosts had lots of terrific recommendations on places to dine and things to see and do on the island. The hotel itself is very well located near the city centre just minutes from numerous bars and restaurants. The rooms were clean and well maintained throughout our stay. Our hosts also assisted us in renting a vehicle for a few days. The rental company that was recommended brought the vehicle to Villa Amalie and picked it up when we were finished with it. It was very good service. We couldn't recommend Villa Amalie more highly for your stay in Curacao. You won't be disappointed. Here are a few restaurant recommendations: Kome, Etsy's, Oliva, Maira's Kitchen. All were first rate.
