The landlocked Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) promises an unforgettable adventure. Follow the trails around the large, forested enclosures to see the friendly apes playing together. The Zongo Waterfalls make for another popular day trip out of the capital. There’s a fair bit of hiking involved, but seeing the water thundering over the precipice into the river below is a sight worth hiking for. Back in Kinshasa, take a scenic walk along the river, or embrace the dance culture the city prides itself on, and try out some afro zumba classes.
