The house is up a winding road that snakes into to the small hamlet overlooking the lake. Parking is designated for the house and is about 100m from the front door. The house is about 175 years old but has been completely renovated inside - 3 double bedrooms and a fantastic kitchen / diner on the top floor (same floor as main bedroom). The bathrooms are modern, there's a laundry room int he basement and the kitchen includes a dishwasher. The views onto the lake are spectacular. This is a house in a local community so it's quiet, and you'll meet just a few tourist cars in the area. It's completely away from the crowded tourist towns, but is only a short drive (15 mins?) to Mennagio and the main ferry port. There are small beaches with parking along the main road. Overall, a great place to use for exploring the area. Roberto, the landlord, is excellent and very helpful.

The host provided many small thoughtful items such as water, snacks, instructions for the apt, tourist info, and toiletries. The location is great, close to Bellano center and Varenna, and therefore easy to access anywhere around the lake. And, as noted by others, the view from the apartment is spectacular - the lake and mountains are breathtaking. In addition, the host was attentive and willing to help out with whatever he could!! Overall, it was a lovely place to stay!!!

Featuring a garden and a wellness area, Agriturismo Crotto Di Somana offers rustic-style accommodation in the countryside of Mandello del Lario. The location is wonderful . The property owner guided us properly to get there and the rooms are clean and cozy . He was very sweet to drop us till verena . Will make sure we visit again

We stayed in the flat on the first floor and we felt so comfortable. The house and the view is so beautiful. The kitchen was well equiped and the beds in both bedrooms were comfortable. However we did not have a car, there are parking spaces in front of the house. The owner of the house was really kind and helpfull and around on short notice whenever we needed help. There are two supermarkets nearby, arround 1,5 km (Lidl & Bennet) but be aware that the house is up a hill, so you either be good by foot or have a car, especially when you have groceries to carry.
