I took my family here as a surprise for my sister, she had no idea where we were going and… driving up the mountain made it even more fascinating! The atmosphere made us feel at home, the family who owns this place have a good heart and they will make sure you will be very well taken care of. I felt like I was in good hands all the time. The chalet was warm and cosy. We had a private garden with bbq, incredible views… and hiking paths literally at our doorstep. It’s great if you want your own space as a family/ group or couple. The attention to detail is tangible. It's true the drive up is a mountain road, but in my opinion it makes the experience very special, the views are breathtaking during the whole way. It's absolutely worth the drive! We will definitely come back.

The house is about 175 years old but has been completely renovated inside - 3 double bedrooms and a fantastic kitchen / diner on the top floor (same floor as main bedroom). The bathrooms are modern, there's a laundry room int he basement and the kitchen includes a dishwasher. The views onto the lake are spectacular. This is a house in a local community so it's quiet, and you'll meet just a few tourist cars in the area. It's completely away from the crowded tourist towns, but is only a short drive (15 mins?) to Mennagio and the main ferry port. There are small beaches with parking along the main road. Overall, a great place to use for exploring the area. Roberto, the landlord, is excellent and very helpful.

With BBQ facilities, the property has views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. We booked very late in the evening but the host organised everything very quickly. Livio just is the best host you can wish during your stay in Como. The room was very clean and cosy. We still cannot believe what we saw, the view is just breathtaking. Waking up to a wonderful lake of Como, sounds of birds, in the middle of mother nature. We bought some lemons and limes from the garden of Livio’s. We immediately started to organise our next stay before leaving. This place is a piece from heaven.. Livio; if your read this - Grazie mille Amigo!!

We stayed in the flat on the first floor and we felt so comfortable. The house and the view is so beautiful. The kitchen was well equiped and the beds in both bedrooms were comfortable. However we did not have a car, there are parking spaces in front of the house. The owner of the house was really kind and helpfull and around on short notice whenever we needed help. There are two supermarkets nearby, arround 1,5 km (Lidl & Bennet) but be aware that the house is up a hill, so you either be good by foot or have a car, especially when you have groceries to carry.
