We felt truly welcome and well taken care of at Casa Franco da Serra. This family-run hotel has a warm, homely atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The owner and her son were incredibly kind and always willing to help with anything we needed. We were even invited to a small family gathering over the weekend, and everyone was so warm and friendly! It was such a lovely way to experience real Portuguese hospitality on our first visit to Portugal. The hotel is located a bit outside the town center, so having a car is convenient for getting around. That said, we managed perfectly well using the bus (there’s a stop right in front of the house) and returning by taxi without any issues. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Terceira who is looking for peace, nature, and a quiet retreat.

If I had known how good the experience was going to be, I would have booked the entire week at this place. Felt like coming back home. Had dinner there and everything was delicious. Very kind people, very well educated dog, very funny goat. I would definitely recommend it.

Very peaceful and spatious place, waking up to the sounds of birds chirping. Raquel was a great host and always available, we got an early check in. Very close to the Biscoitos pools and 20 mins by car from Angra.

The place was amazing and in a strategic position to get to everywhere!

The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you might need. There is also private parking, and nice garden with bbq facilities. We really enjoyed the breakfast which was left in the fridge for us (local products) and the fact that the baker brought us bread in the morning was also really nice. The location is also pretty good, just few minutes walk from the center of the village and the shop, and the Santa Barbara viewpoint can also be reached on foot (about 15 minute walk downhill). The host was also really helpful, tried to help us with everything and even offered to pay for our breakfast one morning when the baker forgot to bring us the bread. Overall a great apartment in a very peaceful environment for a great price.

Very clean and comfortable. The welcome cake was very nice. A farewell cake slice arrived on the last evening. The host was very polite. The single window in the door provided adequate light. Lots of towels included. A great find. The nearby “Captain’s Table” restaurant is outstanding. No breakfast is included, many choices close by.

I loved my stay at Casa do tí Marrão. I booked literally in such short notice, and the host was so kind to make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I was blessed with the most amazing cheese made by the host. Although it was just for one night, it was the perfect place to rest and rid an oncoming migraine. I slept so good and felt at home. The apartment was very clean, quiant, and spacious. It was a nice 20 mins walk to the airport, although I never heard a plane. Very quiet and peaceful location. wish I had more time there. I do hope to stay again if available.
