I’m lacking words to describe our stay at this absolute jewel. This has been THE loveliest holiday experience: from the legacy of the place, that is so beautifully shared and continued by Luis (the host and great-grandson of the original property owner), to the meticulous attention to detail and beautiful design in every corner, with complementary fresh fruit, cake and house liquor, sparkling clean rooms, a simply perfect breakfast in the scenic courtyard (including fresh eggs from their own chicken), all the way to the brilliant recommendations for restaurants, fado concert, parking tricks to visit the old town and more… Simple fresh dishes and drinks (with fridge self-service) are available all day.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and mountain view, Quinta dos Raposos- Nazaré Portugal is located in Nazaré, 13 km from Monastery of Alcobaca and 26 km from Obidos Castle. We loved everything about the property! We were extremely well-received by the hosts and our stay was super comfortable. Amazing breakfast and facilities. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The location is amazing for a relaxing getaway - beautiful scenery! Cannot recommend it more.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Casa de Campo da Quinta da Pegada features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. Guests staying at this country house have access to a patio.... So welcoming and comfortable. Shared breakfast space where you can make your own breakfast, tea, coffee etc and chat to other guests. Onsite parking, and a gaggle of goats, pigs and chickens who welcome you. A roaming peacock was pretty spectacular. Perfect walking distance from Obidos walled town. Loved it!

Located in Batalha, 16 km from Our Lady of Fatima Basilica and 26 km from Monastery of Alcobaca, Casa da Alagoa offers a garden and air conditioning. Casa Da Alagoa is a beautiful Property, Spotless, modern and very comfortable. Bed very comfortable and the shower/bathroom was excellent owners just fantastic! Couldn’t do more to make you welcome.

Boasting garden views, Casa do Salgueirinho features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 27 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela. Amazing hidden gem! The host left some goods from the garden which we used cooking our meals. The host also gave us some tips on what to visit during our stay in the area and was keeping in tough during our stay.

Offering a bar and mountain view, Tranca da Barriga - Casa do Vinho by Quinta De São Tiago is located in Covilhã, 27 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela and 27 km from Belmonte Calvário Chapel. Beautiful location and facilities, including the pool and winery with a tour explaining the organic grapes grown. The wine tasting with charcuterie tray was superb. We were thrilled to help with grape picking in the morning, receiving a basket of grapes to enjoy munching on. Each family member is friendly, kind and passionate about their business, also helping with the cheese factory location nearby.

Perfect location for anyone with a vehicle. Quick walk to the old walled center of Obidos (which you can see from the apartment) with the benefits of quiet & easy street parking.
