This is a beautifully furnished, cosy wee house within easy walking distance of Otta with its aquamarine coloured river and with stunning views of the mountains. Welcome treats included complimentary tea/coffee and quality eco toiletries. I only stayed one night - such a comfy bed - and I couldn't take full advantage of the gorgeous veranda because of rain, but the huge windows gave onto lovely lush countryside and the comfy sofa, rugs and candles made it hygge and luxurious.

We had an amazing five days in June, and the cabin is beautifully located right at the border of the national park. The view from the cabin is stunning and you have access to lots of hiking routes right on your doorstep. The cabin is very spacious and comfortable, with wood burning stoves both in the living room and the kitchen, in addition to a gas heaters to be used for instant heating in the living room and the bathroom. Please note that this is a cabin without running water (we had plenty of bottled water left by the owner) and solar panel for lights (but not suitable to charge mobile phones unless sunny weather). We had plenty of firewood to keep warm and this cabin is perfect for those who have tried living without modern amenities before or would like to try to live a basic lifestyle.
