However, the listing said there was a private bathroom, but in reality the shower is in a separate building and the toilet in another shed, both shared with other guests. You have to walk outside to reach both facilities. The toilet is compost-style (no water flush, you cover with soil after use). For us, comfort and privacy were important, especially for our anniversary, so this arrangement didn’t really work. It’s also worth knowing that during our August visit, nearby farm work with heavy machinery meant it wasn’t always as quiet as we had hoped. Overall, it’s a charming rustic place for those who enjoy nature and don’t mind shared, basic facilities.
