A beautiful traditional building in a beautiful part of rural Japan. Around the stay the farmers can be seen working in the fields and close to the stay is a nice and small onsen which is definitely worth a visit in the evening. We were lucky, as we were visiting in the period when there were fireflies, which we were able to see on only a couple minutes walk from the stay (with thanks to the staff for recommending it to us and joining!). Highly recommended to stay here!

Really big house fully equipped (including kitchen) for a good stay. Very quiet place with a beautiful view. I recommend.

Situated within 4 km of Senjogahara Park and 4.3 km of Hinoyama Park, 壇之浦海峡Villa features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Shimonoseki. Property was beautifully furnished with amazing views. Hosts were super friendly and responsive. We wished we could have stayed longer than one night!

A traditional, spacious house with all modern conveniences for travellers. This house is extremely comfortable and has a lovely outlook across the waterfront and fishing boats.

This is a lovely "beach house" in a rather "off-the-beaten-track" part of Japan, at least outside of high summer season. It's actually not on the beach but exudes that vibe and is only a ten minute walk from the proper seaside. Great sauna, beautifully clean, and easy access. The neighborhood is more traditional and lovely, but dining options are limited for those without transport.

UMI-IRO〜うみいろ下関〜 has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Shimonoseki, 3.9 km from Chofu Garden. It is set 4.1 km from Hinoyama Park and features a concierge service. The house was spacious and beautiful. The drinks provided were also a wonderful surprise that added to the luxury of the stay. The bedroom, and even the bathroom had beautiful views of the strait. I would love to start every day watching the boats with a cup of green tea. We were too late, but the sunrise is visible from the house!
