Situated in Okayama, 1.3 km from Kuni Shrine and 1.6 km from Sci-pia: Science and Humanity Museum For The Future, Touchian offers a garden and air conditioning. The facilities were exceptional with a nice LARGE bath, plenty of room and a fully equipped kitchen. Owner was very caring and filled the fridge with delicious local food, including the legendary Okayama Pione grape. Will come again next time we need to stay at Okayama!

Offering a garden and quiet street view, 滔々 御崎 町家の宿 toutou Onzaki Machiya no Yado is set in Kurashiki, 10 km from Tanematsuyama Park and 17 km from Rian Bunko Art Museum. The machiya has been beautifully renovated and has got all the modern amenities one could expect. Everything is new and very refined. Staff at the nearby gallery is kind and attentive, and provided instructions in English about every aspect of the house and stay. Delicious bread, jam and fruit provided everyday for breakfast. The location is perfect, right at Bikan hostorical quarter and within walking distance from Kurashiki Station, making it the perfect base for exploring the entire Okayama area.

Great location near lots of great food. Walking distance from Aeon mall. Warm (he has double glazed windows which are rare in Japan) Very comfortable beds and pillows. Just abt everything you could need in a location.

This traditional Japanese home was very comfortable. There are lots of airconditioning units so it was comfortable even when cold outside. The host was so very kind and generous. We were lucky to meet him in person. There is a coffee shop nearby that opens at 6am and many convenience stores as well as a supermarket in walking distance. We had a vehicle and the host arranged parking for us.

Set in Yakage, 2.4 km from Daitsu-ji Temple and 19 km from Kasaoka Sun Plaza, 自去来 offers free bikes and air conditioning. This was the loveliest property we stayed at in Japan. Very spacious, fantastically equipped, beautiful traditional decor, reasonable price. The location is maybe a little out of the way for public transport but great if travelling by car. The town itself is traditional and full of character and the surrounding countryside is lovely. We hope to go back for a longer stay one day.

Fantastic home with all the comfortable amenities. Our hosts were incredible. We look forward to staying here again when we are back in the area!

Located in Kurashiki and only 400 metres from Shinkeien Garden, 倉敷ながや Kurashiki Nagaya provides accommodation with inner courtyard views, free WiFi and free private parking. Super friendly staff, they left towels out at the entrance when they found out we were arriving after rain. Very well stocked kitchen with all crockery as well as sauses and condements. The house was beautiful and very clean. It's located right next to the old town so it's ideal for exploring Kurashiki. They had a good projector which we used to watch TV.
