Set on a farm 8 km from Grundarfjördur, this modern guest house offers a 9-hole golf course, plus free Wi-Fi and parking. Snæfellsjökull National Park is 40 minutes’ drive away. I loved this property! Located in a quiet area with an amazing view of Kirkjufell Mountain, the room was very clean and had a comfortable bed. We enjoyed a fresh and delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a restful night's stay.

Out of all the places we stayed in our 3 weeks away from home, this was our very favorite! Its location was wonderful and a great base for us to explore the peninsula. We hope that when we go to Iceland in the future, we can stay here again. The house was so inviting and comfortable. The beds were incredible! We loved walking around Stykkishólmur; the walk up to the beacon was great and the view breathtaking. We even saw the Northern Lights while there. The host was extremely attentive and responded quickly to any questions we asked. What a find, this house in Stykkishólmur!

The villa has a picnic area and a hot tub.... Property was on the way to Snaefellsjokull National Park fairly well situated for a first night stop after morning arrival in Reykjavik. No restaurants in immediate area, so either dine as you drive through Borgarnes or some place closer to the park. Beautiful views.
