The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Beautifully decorated. The hotel had recently been updated and it was very nicely done. Extremely helpful staff members;

Our stay was wonderful. Thank you Brett and your team for booking our dinner at your restaurant - it was the best sticky toffee pudding we have ever eaten! We had a very comfortable and easy stay here. The bed was comfortable and the views were stunning over the farmland. Breakfast was exceptional too. Thank you!

The whole House presented excellent very new and fresh. A large residence with plenty of room. We stayed as a family of five , but I could see it bringing comfortable for more people. The touches of family friendly games were adored by my children. A full size Washing Maxhine with a separate dryer is a great addition. Combo washer/dryers are ok but seem to take a lot longer. We had an issue with transport and ended up arriving quite late. Which I am now disappointed I did not get the full experience. NOTE: We arrived almost 7 hours after our scheduled check in. The host was exceptional in accommodating our late arrival. I cannot praise Gillian enough.

The flat was very spacious and had a nice view of an old cottage across the road. Everything was clean with nice modern fixtures and appliances. Although the flat is right on the roadway, we had no road noise. Having off-street parking was a plus. We also liked having two full bathrooms. The kitchen had everything one would need for a short or long stay with a large refrigerator.

The location was excellent, we had a lovely view of the ocean and it was very accessible by car. The holiday home is warm, cosy and well-equipped to meet needs. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, would definitely return again if I'm in the area.

The cottage is absolutely lovely. It has a great kitchen with everything you need to be self catering. The living room has a comfortable space in which to relax. The bed was very comfortable with a skylight cover which was great! It enables you to block out the light when the sun rises at 4:30 in the morning. The bathroom is amazing with a big shower. There was a very effective fan in the cottage which was really wonderful since we had pretty warm days and it helped to cool down the space. The entire cottage has been artfully decorated and was spotlessly clean. There is interesting lighting throughout the space. There is a small outer area with a table that is fenced in if you had a dog. The cottage is off the Main Street so it was very quiet but just minutes from the main part of town so easy walking to trailheads, shopping and restaurants. There is a small grocery store within a few minutes walk. There was parking available within a reasonable distance of the cottage. The owners were very responsive to our questions.
