The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Great room, fabulous patio and garden and wonderful staff. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. This hotel has a home from home feel. Cream teas every afternoon, tea and coffee whenever you want and a small bar if you want alcohol. Guests are allocated their own parking space which is wonderful in this prime location. Next time we are in the Lake District, we will definitely book this delightful hotel. Thanks to all the staff that work in this establishment, we had a fabulous week.

With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake... Very warm and cosy. Great restaurant and really good food. Friendly staff.

Excellent communication and flexibility of the host. Clean and cosy - perfect location. Easy to park and access. The host was very helpful and friendly.

Offering a garden and garden view, Heather Mere Cottage, Bowness-on-Windermere is set in Bowness-on-Windermere, 38 km from Derwentwater Lake and 43 km from Askham Hall. Beautiful and modern.. amazing accommodation 😊 very high spec. The owner, Claire, has thought of everything to make the stay a brilliant one for her customers. I would highly recommend this accommodation to all my friends .. loved it.

Situated in Grizebeck and only 30 km from World of Beatrix Potter, 2 Malt Kiln Cottages features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The flat was very spacious and had a nice view of an old cottage across the road. Everything was clean with nice modern fixtures and appliances. Although the flat is right on the roadway, we had no road noise. Having off-street parking was a plus. We also liked having two full bathrooms. The kitchen had everything one would need for a short or long stay with a large refrigerator.

Located 18 km from Buttermere, 1 The Croft provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Nice layout and perfect position with the Fiver Cocker flowing next to the rear, a two minutes walk to Sainsbury’s Supermarket and 5 mins walk to town centre. Good car park too

Tranquility No 42 Port Haverigg Marina, a property with a garden and a bar, is located in Millom, 42 km from Lake Windermere, 43 km from Wasdale, as well as 49 km from Scafell Pike. The location was excellent, we had a lovely view of the ocean and it was very accessible by car. The holiday home is warm, cosy and well-equipped to meet needs. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, would definitely return again if I'm in the area.

Set in Ambleside, 10 km from World of Beatrix Potter, 17 km from Lake Windermere and 28 km from Derwentwater Lake, Grayling Cottage offers accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The cottage is absolutely lovely. It has a great kitchen with everything you need to be self catering. The living room has a comfortable space in which to relax. The bed was very comfortable with a skylight cover which was great! It enables you to block out the light when the sun rises at 4:30 in the morning. The bathroom is amazing with a big shower. There was a very effective fan in the cottage which was really wonderful since we had pretty warm days and it helped to cool down the space. The entire cottage has been artfully decorated and was spotlessly clean. There is interesting lighting throughout the space. There is a small outer area with a table that is fenced in if you had a dog. The cottage is off the Main Street so it was very quiet but just minutes from the main part of town so easy walking to trailheads, shopping and restaurants. There is a small grocery store within a few minutes walk. There was parking available within a reasonable distance of the cottage. The owners were very responsive to our questions.
