The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. We arrived early and the lady said if we came about 1pm we could have the afternoon tea and the rooms would probably be available. The hotel is immaculate and very tastefully decorated. We were also very kindly upgraded . We had dinner that evening in the sister hotel The Inn at Grassmere, very nice bar food. Weather was atrocious on way home, so we sat in the lounge in Bridge house with a drink . What I also liked about the Bridge house hotel was that it is Adult only and Dog free. Don't get me wrong I like animals but not in hotel's and while I am eating. It is very hard to find hotels these days a especially in the lake district that are dog free. Bathroom was large, lovely large fluffy towels. Great shower. Breakfast next morning was delicious and very filling. We were able to leave our car in the carpark while we did a quick walk around the village. It's definitely on my list to return and to recommend.

Ravenstone Lodge ligt op 8 km van Keswick, aan de voet van de berg Ullock Pike en biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de Northern Fells. amazing location. Wonderful breakfast. rooms are big enough and modern. The hotel is walking distance from the city center. staff are so nice and the balcony is one of the best we have been. We did not want to leave the hotel! will definitely come back.

Cumberland House ligt in Cockermouth, op 22 km van Derwentwater en 46 km van Wasdale, in een omgeving waar je kunt fietsen. Everything was great, the place is in a beautiful town and it was perfect for having a laugh with friends after a nice hike

Cosy Seaside Cottage bevindt zich in Allonby, op 37 km van Buttermere, en heeft aan het strand accommodatie met een privéstrand, een terras, een bar en gratis WiFi. We loved everything about this property, cosy, clean and fully equipped with everything you need. The cottage is in a perfect location and their is parking outside. Two days wasn't enough. We absolutely loved our time here.

Bells yard Cottage Maryport ligt op 29 km van Buttermere en 36 km van Derwentwater, en heeft gratis WiFi en een terras. Everything was perfect! It's a proper gem! You have everything what you need even a air fryer!

Heather Mere Cottage, Bowness-on-Windermere is gelegen in Bowness-on-Windermere, op 3 minuten lopen van De Wereld van Beatrix Potter, 38 km van Derwentwater, en 43 km van Askham Hall. Beautiful and modern.. amazing accommodation 😊 very high spec. The owner, Claire, has thought of everything to make the stay a brilliant one for her customers. I would highly recommend this accommodation to all my friends .. loved it.

2 Malt Kiln Cottages bevindt zich in Grizebeck, op slechts 30 km van De Wereld van Beatrix Potter, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en uitzicht op de bergen. The flat was very spacious and had a nice view of an old cottage across the road. Everything was clean with nice modern fixtures and appliances. Although the flat is right on the roadway, we had no road noise. Having off-street parking was a plus. We also liked having two full bathrooms. The kitchen had everything one would need for a short or long stay with a large refrigerator.

1 The Croft ligt op 22 km van Derwentwater, 46 km van Wasdale en 46 km van Muncaster Castle, en biedt accommodatie in Cockermouth. Lovely cosy little two bedroomed cottage with a nice big bath for relaxing and right in the centre of the town with parking.

The Old Map Shop bevindt zich in Wigton, op 28 km van Derwentwater en 33 km van Askham Hall, in een omgeving waar je kunt wandelen. Really excellent place for value near Caldbeck. Short walk from town center, very comfortable and well appointed. Absolutely recommend.
