It is indeed an old cottage and our room looked out over the loch. The accommodations are outstanding with a well appointed bedroom and bathroom. The bed was so comfortable! There is a communal sitting room with tons of information about Scotland. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming and are very knowledgeable about Scottish history and area sights. Breakfast is served in a bright dining room overlooking the water with bird feeders attracting local birds to the garden outside. Breakfast choices were extensive and made to order. You are out in the countryside, so I recommend you have a car and the cottage does have free parking. This is the perfect way point in your travels through Scotland.

Melfort Village is set in a lochside location, 24 km from Oban. Furnace is 23 km away. The units include a dining/seating area with a satellite flat-screen TV. It was increíble! The best place se stayed on our two week trip. Surrounded by Mountains, lake and sheep in the countryside. Beautiful views and superb housing. Very comfortable and full y equiped. Ossie at the fronta desk, was the best!

Nestled in 3.5 acres of woodland in Western Scotland, Airdeny Chalets feature self-catering accommodation sitting in a garden with terrace. Free Wi-Fi, free parking and BBQ facilities are available. The chalet was clean, very comfortable, and the location was amazing. The owner wents over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely send a friend there.
