Set on the Bay of Biscay and surrounded by mountains, the Higueralde guest house is located 15-minutes’ walk from the beach. It offers rooms with central heating and free Wi-Fi. Amazing stay! The views are absolutely stunning and you get them even from your room. Great hosts who are very open and welcoming. And the breakfast - very delicious, home made on the spot for you. A true gem to stay at!

Service that goes above and beyond. Cozy rooms in a charming historic building. A well-kept and inviting garden. A lovely family offering warm hospitality. Excellent breakfast! Even when we arrived in the evening, exhausted after a long day on the Camino, the hostess helped us place an order from a Chinese restaurant, and there’s also the option to buy basic groceries for cooking if you have the energy. Just keep in mind that it’s about 2 km off the trail’s starting point, so plan your route accordingly. Highly recommended!

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Chavarri Etxea, casa indiana XBI00149 is a country house situated in a historic building in Biáñez, 43 km from Vizcaya Bridge. This is a stunning property in a very beautiful area. Our room was a two bedroom, two bathroom unit that was very comfortable. My five-year-old enjoyed the swing set and level lawn to play ball. I would definitely stay here again and hope to return for a longer period.

Featuring a spa bath, Soloandie Casa rural is located in Zeanuri. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Guests can use the hot tub, or enjoy mountain views. Beautiful picturesque location. Property was amazing. Hostess was lovely and friendly. Breakfast was great.

Set 48 km from Fernando Buesa Arena, El Retiro del Obispo in Laguardia offers rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. Adorable & very accommodating host with great recommendations ! The room was very well decorated and clean, calm while also being very conveniently situated : we slept very well.

Bidegurutzeta landetxea, a property with a garden, is located in Urnieta, 10 km from La Concha Promenade, 10 km from Peine del Viento Sculptures, as well as 11 km from Monte Igueldo. The owners were friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and large. It had a comfortable bed and a large shower room. WIFI worked very well. There was parking in the premises. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful with fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, delicious eggs, cheeses, bread and more… The nearest town, Urnieta, is located at 5 minutes by car where there are restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, etc. We definitely will return whenever we visit the area.

Offering quiet street views, Casa ROBLA is an accommodation situated in Elvillar, 17 km from Spanish Federation of Friends of the Camino de Santiago Associations and 17 km from La Rioja Museum. Absolutely fantastic host. So kind. And such a beautiful place! Beds are super comfy and the bath room really great. Generous breakfast, which wasn't charged for the kids! We were very sad we could only stay one day there.

Boasting mountain views, Casa rural Lastoetxe offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 21 km from Catedral de Santiago. The owners were welcoming and helpful. This place has a kitchen where we were able to cook and eat our own meals in a comfortable seating area. The whole place appeared to be new with good facilities, bed was good to sleep in, shower was high powered and towels and shampoo were provided. The whole experience was even better that we hoped for when booking.

Boasting sea views, El Tejado de Santa Ana provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden and barbecue facilities, around 2.2 km from Playa de Meñakoz Barrika. The breakfast was amazing. The room was lovely, the property is immaculate and beautiful. It has been my favorite stay in en País Vasco.

Set within 15 km of Catedral de Santiago and 15 km of Arriaga Theatre in Mungia, Basoan offers accommodation with seating area. This is an exceptional, atmospheric place. It is hard to describe just how good it is! Large, extremely well equipped and comfortable room. Ours had an outdoor deck with 2 deck chairs, dining table with chairs and wonderful countryside views. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Seriously. Just a few minutes easy drive to the airport. Don’t just use it for that though; we will stay for at least 2 weeks next time and use it as a base for day trips around the area.
