The accommodation is located right in the heart of the Black Forest in a charming old wooden house far from the pretentiousness of modern hotels. It’s quiet, authentic, and surrounded by nature. We loved hearing the sound of cowbells and even witness a couple of falling stars! Our lovely host prepared breakfast in a shared kitchen that was fully equipped with everything you could need. Despite the hosts’ limited English, communication was smooth, friendly, and always helpful. Just a small tip: as of August 2025 although we booked via Booking.com, we had to pay in cash at the end of our stay. So either double-check with the host in advance or bring some cash just in case.

First of all, the building and the suite were first rate - very modern, convenient and state of the art. Literally everything was exceptional. Christine, our host, was friendly, engaging and very helpful. Our unit had a small kitchenette that was efficiently arranged with top-of-the-line appliances (Bosch, Panasonic). It is possibly the most up to date suite I've had the pleasure to stay in and after seeing the unit and comparing the price, it was a rare find. Meeting such a nice person as our host was icing on the cake. We ordered breakfast that was delivered to the room. We were a little late getting back from a hike, but it was insulated and still hot and fresh. Location was next to a great hiking trail and in the middle of wine country - a quiet small town with lots of first-rate wineries.
