In the cottage we found a contact to very good, profesional birdwatching guide.

A recently renovated chalet located in San Gerardo de Dota, El Quetzalito Cabin features a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, a pool table, free private parking and free WiFi. It's very private, cozy and with a great view.

The cottage is beautiful, tastefully furnished, has breathtaking views from the windows and terrace. The owner has a passion for coffee, there are several equipment to prepare coffee, which is available. Under the terrace there is a coffee plantation. I appreciated the written instructions for using the cottage and the surrounding area. The cottage is situated at an altitude of over 2000 meters above sea level, during our stay (August) it was quite cold and windy from the afternoon.

Amazing spot and great stay. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature. I loved the space and the host. You can park in front of the house and there's a nice river close to the property.

Perfect tiny house perched at +2000m high in the mountains with an unbeatable view on the valley below all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Hard to beat if you want some quiet, or hike in the mountains. It's small but functionnal, clean, with proper hot water and easy access. The hosts live nearby and have been very responsive. Pura Vida!

Even when it rains heavily, you can sit outside on the 1st floor balcony. Highly recommended!! (as is the 4x4 too :) )

Casas La Chirincoca er staðsett í San Isidro á San José-svæðinu og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. VERY spacious - both indoors and yard. Nice patio area to sit out. The house was solid with a nice layout. The kitchen was great to work in and had a large fridge - nice! Laundry area with modern washing machine - sweet! Ceiling fans in living room and bedrooms. (A/C would be a treat in the bedrooms - but I was aware there weren’t any). Very clean. Our stay was very relaxing. Our host made it easy for us to access the house. He did not live at the property. We communicated by WhatsApp & phone. He was always quick to respond and made sure everything was good! We were away from the hustle and bustle in a residential area which had an awesome local restaurant and bar in the neighborhood. It was hard to leave to explore the city.

Great location could hear the stream below. Restaurant walking distance great trout up the road. Loved sitting in and outside watching the hummingbirds in the bottle brushes outside. Attempted to see the elusive quetzel. Alas only saw a flash of bright green in the park as he flew away.
