Set within 50 metres of Cocles Beach and 1.3 km of Chiquita Beach, Casa Modi offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Puerto Viejo. We got the unit on the second floor. It had 2 bedrooms. Super comfy 200cm width bed. Fully equipped kitchen though the kitchen is outdoors, might not fit everyone. For us it was great. Barely any mosquitoes even outdoors. Nice place to buy fruits 5 minutes walk and a big organic supermarket less than 10 minutes walk. The beach is very close to the flat, big waves but we built sand castles with our baby so it was fine. It was very relaxing stay in a peaceful environment. They even have a laundry machine and were very responsive to all our requests. Felt very secluded. 10 minutes walk from the Jaguar Rescue Center.

Located in Tortuguero, within a few steps of Tortuguero Beach, casa chilamates offers accommodation with air conditioning. The property is very clean, the beds very comfortable, the Wi-Fi works excellently. The interior decoration is very good style (if I am not mistaken, many decorations are produced by Rodrigo and his wife). The house, is located slightly outside the center of the village at the edge of the jungle: at night, the sounds of nature are fantastic! Special mention goes to Rodrigo, his wife and Arturo, our hiking guide. Great people, extremely kind and helpful. Such friendliness is a rare commodity these days! I highly recommend the proposed tours, Arturo is extremely knowledgeable and will make you experience unique moments!

Very clean accommodation in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were making sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness definitely exceeded our expectations. The whole place is very well maintained, super clean. It's a great location almost at the beach, and walking distance to the centre of Cahuita and the Cahuita National Park. There was also an opportunity to rent bikes, free of charge, which was a great addition to our stay. We had a fantastic time staying at New Caribe Point. Definitely recommend! :)

Miguel and Marta and their family are superb hosts!

Comprising a garden and barbecue facilities, Green Corner is a recently renovated accommodation in Cahuita located close to Blanca. The accommodation is fairly basic, but had everything we needed. Loved the outside kitchen. The host, Monica, was very helpful and even arranged a dentist appointment for us when my wife broke a tooth. The great thing is the location, right on the edge of the national park and less than a 5 minute walk into Cahuita. We were lucky to see 15-20 howler monkeys in the garden as well as capuchin monkeys and an agouti. We actually saw more wildlife while chilling out at the property than we saw in the national park.

We had an amazing stay in Tortuguero at Raquel’s property! She was incredibly kind and welcoming — she even picked us up from the Roots office, which was such a nice gesture and made our arrival super easy. We were lucky to be among the first guests, and everything in the house felt brand new, spotless, and thoughtfully prepared. The setup was perfect for our group of 8, as we were able to enjoy both houses while sharing the garden and the patio. The space is ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring Tortuguero, and the attention to detail really made a difference. We recommend this place!
