The culinary offerings were great - the European-style breakfast was delightful, and the swimming pool provided perfect relaxation. Both the interior and exterior design are truly fantastic, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The staff not only were helpful, but their English language knowledge made communication quite simple. This was one of our longest stops during our travels through China, and we couldn't be happier with our choice to stay here.

Steps from Yulong River, Yangshuo Secret Garden is located in the stunning Yangshuo countryside. The property is a collection of lovely heritage stone houses and courtyards in a traditional Ming dynasty village. We had a large, two storey suite with balcony and private terrace! Warm and welcoming staff, and great food in the restaurant! Bicycles to rent, and lots of helpful advice about activities in the area.

Moondance Boutique Resort is located in Fenglou Village within Yulong River District, 10 km from West Street.. Everything about Moondance Boutique Resort and their sister hotel The Apsara Lodge is WONDERFUL. The environment is so relaxing and peaceful. I stayed here for 7 days on my own in December. It was low season and a little chilly during the days (10°C) but it was so beautiful and restful. The food is excellent. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I really feel revived after a very long year at work after my break here and I would highly recommend Moondance to anyone who just needs to rest and be still for a while. There are a number of excursions you can book, but I didn't do any of that that. Just went for a couple of local walks up as far as Yulong River and one day got a taxi into Yangshuo town. The rest of the time I just sat on my balcony or in the restaurant or garden or my room and read a book and listened to the birdsong.

I have been to many countries and this is the best/favourite accommodation I've ever booked for any holiday. The villa rooms were incredible - amazing view, perfect air-conditioning, spacious beyond belief, tastefully aesthetic. The nicer rooms with the river view are east-facing, perfect for watching the sunrise. There is a tea room and open area on the top floor which I used to host local friends, also having a great view of the river. We also managed to catch the dying embers of the sunset. There is a nice common area on the fourth floor with a kitchen, washing machine, fridge, and a large dining table as well. The host is super accommodating and helpful, offering 24-hour support over WeChat. Whenever I reached out for help for accidentally locked doors or to make minor changes to our booking, he always responded quickly.
