Coming from 3 weeks camping in the bush in Botswana , this accommodation felt like heaven . The Sondela reserve has all amenities one can wish on site and the house is just amazing, extremely large and confortable (much better than on the pictures ) . It was the perfect stop on our last day of holidays before heading back to Joburg’s airport.

It was very relaxing. No noise.Service from Christiaan was great delivering firewood and ice. Beds was comfortable with good qaulity linen. Bathroom was rustic with romantic bush atmosphere. My husband and boys cycled for hours in a save and beautifull environment.

Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Extremely impressed with how well and thoughtful the decor and facilities were. It was a sublime pleasure to interact with the goats, donkeys and dogs. I got to bottle feed the 2 week old goat kids which was an incredible highlight. Loadshedding was a pain but we enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of our hosts Renier and Rolien.

Located 10 km outside of Bela-Bela on the Sondela Nature Reserve, Makhato 84 is a fully equipped chalet with BBQ facilities. It has a balcony with views of the African Bush.
