A most magical sanctuary, with expansive views to give a phenomenal perspective and readily see the surrounding wildlife. Comfortable large room, beautifully pebbled shower. Great kitchen with all you need to stay, nourish and settle into the wild expanse. Tranquil and beautifully wild surroundings. You have your own private balcony, braai area and garden overlooking the river where all the animals venture. The sunrises and sunsets burst a luminous vibrant show across the landscape. I highly recommend going for a paddle, purple lilies, a large turtle same beside us, many buck, bush pigs, soaring eagles, loeries, weavers…… we also saw a giraffe. The walks to are spectacular, with the most fascinating terrain. Large cacti with flowers unfurling, dense forest and open terrains. The landscape singing with all at play. I felt most safe staying here and walking the property solo , as well as paddling with my daughter. My family enjoyed this holiday and we will surely return.

The chalet is comfortable, spacious and clean with everything needed for a self catering stay. What made this stay exceptional for us was the incredible hospitality of our hosts. We’d arrived at the lodge on a whim at the last minute and were very ill prepared for our stay but our hosts went above and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable. Fantastic little place, the owners have really got a little gem there, lovely room with lovely furnishings. the food was unbelievable, a great young chef, Nandi, very passionate about her food and presentation. Really enjoyed our stay
