Everything was excellent. We pre ordered the braai packs for 10 people, salads bread etc. Incredible value!! We a group of oldies cycling 10 days in the Karoo and comfort, ease of knowing everything was done for us, made masterclass the best venue for us. Highly recommend them. We had an amazing stay at this fantastic property! Not only was it stunning, but they also warmly welcomed our dogs, which made us feel right at home. Tracy was absolutely wonderful—she greeted us with such warmth and went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay. The property is breathtaking, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and Tracy even recommended a fantastic place for dinner, which we loved. Her kindness and attention to detail truly made our experience unforgettable. Our entire stay was simply fantastic, and we highly recommend this place to anyone. We’ll definitely be back!

The village is charming and typical of a Karoo town.

The village is charming and typical of a Karoo town. Two nights and a day to see everything is adequate. It's preferable to choose accommodation in the village allowing one to walk to the various places of interest.

Prince Albert is a beautifully well kept and maintained small Karoo town at the foot of the Swartberg Pass. With many accommodation options, a number of really good restaurants and coffee shops, and art/curio shops, it is a wonderful place for a long weekend break, or an extended stay when passing through. We stayed at the Olive Thrush Cottage, just a short walk from the Main Street, and it was very peaceful and comfortable. We ate at the Rude Chef restaurant for dinner - very relaxed and with great food and a great vibe. The Swartberg Hotel is across the street is also excellent, with a groovy gin bar and very nice coffee shop. Walking around Prince Albert is the way to see the town properly, and visitors should include the short traverse up and along the Robert Gordon Koppie ridge walk which give amazing views of the surrounding mountains and of the town. It's an easy and short climb with a well marked path - highly recommended. When heading south from Prince Albert, we recommend taking the Swartberg Pass for the views - it is gravel and a bit steep in places with tight hairpin bends, but can be taken in a normal car - no need for 4x4.

I have stayed in Prince Albert about 4 times now and the accomodation is not up to the standard of the photo's of the venue's. I am thinking that Prince Albert is becoming overrated and accommodation (for what you get is becoming exhorbitant).

Our stay was very short but we experienced the feeling of 'community' - a friendly community very proud of Prince Albert. Will definitely go back. The meal at Prince Albert Cafe was delicious - a delightful little fine dining gem. Our stay at Prince Albert Country Stay exceeded expectations - friendly staff and very warm and welcoming owner.

Prince Albert is a must visit. It’s a quaint little town offering loads of charm and character. Surrounded by gorgeous mountain ranges and charming restaurants serving home made deliciousness from yummy pizzas to scrumptious burgers and don’t get me started on the home baked goodies. Add this to your visit. Won’t disappoint

I had stayed at this location many years ago and based on that experience I chose to book it once again for this South Africa road trip. It is in a perfect location in Prince Albert. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and settled in. The town had been without electricity for a number of days but the robust backup system for this place ensured that we lacked little. There is a great pool to cool off in and the gardens offer a quiet place to relax in. Highly recommend a stay here.

The Saxe-Coburg is run by a delightful couple and their daughter who could not do more to make you feel welcome. Lovely personal touches in the room, great company with the other guests. It's located very conveniently in the middle of Prince Albert, very close to one of the best restaurants in town and right opposite the historic hotel. Very quiet accommodation in a group of bungalows around a swimming pool. I enjoyed it there so much that I stayed for a second night.

Prince Albert is definitely a town to be visited. The accommodation is situated close to the center of the town. We parked the car on the premises and walked to all the restaurants and amenities. Our room has a front door on the road for easy access. The room and bathroom were clean. The patrons were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you, John and Esme, we really enjoyed our visit and would love to see you again.

The "olde worldle" feel. The staff were very good but one member Hester stood out. She was so very helpful with our washing and her ability to relate with us was a joy. The hotel is very well placed for a visit to Prince Albert. Tha massage offered was excellent.

We were recommended to stay here by friends but only realized that it’s more geared up for self catering which we didn’t need. The venue is right at the end of the town itself … we thought it would be more central.
