The house is superbly located, in the center of Haenertsburg. Hosts responsive, communicative and helpful. The property itself is very clean, designed in a mindful way, elegant. We liked it very much. You will find everything you need there; private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, lounge with TV and tea/coffee facilities, swimming pool, braai area, parking and even company of wonderful ibis birds that love to stroll in the garden. We will definitely be coming back, when visiting Haenertsburg again.

Traveling north, you don’t have to pass through magoebaskloof. The blueberry farm is a stone throw away. Habibis serves the best Italian pizza. Everything is so close and there is plenty to see and do.

Awesome place, with a type of Clarence (FS) feel. A few restaurants in the main street with everything you need. From pancakes, Turkish restaurant, liquorstore, breakfast places and even a pizza den in the middle of a garden.

Haenertsburg is a lovely village.

Haenertsburg is a lovely village. We had dinner at Habibi, an authentic Turkish restaurant, great ambience and food, favourite was dessert - knafeh! We also ate at Red Plate, the crunchy burger and the brownies were amazing. Best to plan dinner in the winter for 17h30ish, Haenertsburg closes down around 19h00!

Picturesque, historic, interesting place of prestine natural beauty and clean air. Home of the highly endangered Wolkberg Zulu butterfly. Situated on a grassy hillside surrounded by evergreen pine forests, nestled beneath the Ironcrown peak, the highest peak in Limpopo, lies the serene little village of Haenertsburg. The entrance to the town doesn't look like much, and lots of travellers speed past this sleepy hollow on their way to the Magoebaskloof and Tzaneen, but they really miss out on a lot Friendly, artistic villagers, excellent food in restaurants that opens up on the main street ae just a few A really must go to place Lots of interesting places in the close vicinity of the town will keep you busy for days and make you glad that you stayed over.

There are some nice restaurants and curio shops in...

There are some nice restaurants and curio shops in Haenertsburg village. We had delicious pizza from the Pot n Plow. It is easy to get around in Haenertsburg, but for activities in the Magoebaskloof you need your own transport. It gets really cold in Winter, so bring warm clothes and book accommodation with an indoor fireplace.

The property was very quiet and peaceful, a secluded retreat in the forest. The unit has views over the gardens and access to nearby braai facilities. the unit was self-catering and equipped with the necessary utensils and crockery to prepare meals. A freshly baked bread with jam was also provided. The room was serviced in the morning. There is a local restaurant - the Pot n Plow, which is located some 5km away along the R71 towards Haenertsburg and has a decent menu, which is well executed. Their pizzas are excellent.

We came to Haenertsburg to cool down from the hot climate in mid-Kruger Park. The historic character of the former gold mining town is well preserved in the hotel and with great attention to detail. The friendliness of the owners and their assistance and advice. We walked the beautiful walking trail next to the hotel through the original grasslands. They prepared us a takeaway lunch and coffee. We also had good food - grilled trout, and drinks in the Iron Crown nearby.

Very friendly attentive host, Matt and the rest of the welcoming committee, Charlie, the cat, and Cosmic the Jack Russel. Loved the extras in the room (sherry, chocolates and a bottle of wine). Bed really comfortable with down duvet and electric blanket. Fireplace in the room worked really well - easy to light and no smoke or smell in the room. Overall just a wonderful evening spent in Haenertsburg. Venue is located in a quiet neighbourhood.

The dam where guests were fly fishing right by our chalet was lovely. The fact that this is a working animal farm (horses and goats) was also lovely. It's closeness to the quaint village of Haenertsburg was really good. And the fireplace with stacks of hardwood in the lounge was superb. The weather was perfect. Would we be back? Absolutely.
