The location is second to none, incredible ocean and mountain vistas almost wherever you look, but what really made this experience something special are the staff, they are attentive, engaging and friendly. What really struck me about the staff is how much they actually care about your experience, always asking “can I help you with x” or “we can do y if that’s better for you” etc without skipping a beat!

Every single thing! The attention to detail, the design, the hospitality, the views, the amenities, literally everything was exceptional. To top it off there were zebras in the estate too! But in all honesty, it was the nicest hotel / lodge I have ever stayed at. Pichy and Bjorn have honestly thought of it all and it honestly goes to show. The food, the experiences and their communication was 11/10. I would recommend Pure Sea Boutique Lodge to all. I really do hope that I will be back !

The location is incredible. The accommodation itself was very welcoming and they did everything to make us feel special and to make sure our stay would be extraordinary. Located in a safe, guarded area. There were zebra’s! I’m sure you could also see some whales if you are lucky. You could also take a walk on the beach, which is so beautiful.

Reggie was a perfect host. We were made welcome, looked after properly, and had a superb dinner and perfect breakfast for our needs. The main room we were allocated was unbelievably well appointed with an amazing view. We look forward to a whale-watching re-visit in 2023. A stunning property and stay.     Gansbaai was a comfortable city with spectacular views where our family explored the southern coast of South Africa. We discovered hidden beaches, spotted many beautiful Protea flowers, sunbathed on Pearly Beach, went to the fish market in the harbor at Gansbaai, lunched on butter chicken and fish and chips at the Blue Goose, restaurant on Hoop St, hiked Klipgat Caves at the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, glimpsed a pod of orcas, and a mother Southern Right whale and her calf, spotted three of the Marine Big 5, dined at the White House, saw Danger Point lighthouse along a four wheel drive track along the beach, found crazy amounts of beautiful shells on the beach. It was an epic adventure.

    Amazing place and location.

    Amazing place and location. The staff were very friendly though, especially Carol who makes my wife day so special on her birthday much appreciated, she even upgraded our room that was amazing The ocean view was spectacular, and the breakfast was next level anytime again for me to visit Sea Star Lodge.

    I loved the laid-back feeling, just appropriate for switching off and being away from it all. The place is just some 30 minutes away from Hermanus. One is able to enjoy both towns on a visit to that part of the world.

    Stunning, modern and luxurious....

    Stunning, modern and luxurious.... Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home had everything we could possibly need. Exquisitely decorated and everything, right down to the cutlery and glassware, is high quality. Bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely handwritten welcome note and complimentary bottle of wine on our arrival.

    What a warm welcome we had from the owner Johannes, safe parking, room has everything in that you need and very clean. Owner was very helpful with recommending places to lunch etc. Breakfast was one for the books, freshly made and absolutely delicious, especially the scrambled eggs. Will definitely book again if we go down to Gansbaai. Wonderful stay we had, thank you Johannes, much appreciated.

    Amazing location and lovely guesthouse. Watched the whales move slowly through Walker Bay whilst having breakfast on the balcony! Klipgat Caves and beach walk/hikes also very close by. Gansbaai a couple of km’s away. Superior King room was as pictured with private balcony. Tanya was a welcoming and efficient host.

    Warm welcome on arrival. Garage parking and very comfortable 2 bed apartment within the building with balcony and views over Gansbaai. Owners are super friendly and Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We drove into the town to try the Fish & Chips, eating them whilst watching surfers hitting the waves.
