Every single thing! The attention to detail, the design, the hospitality, the views, the amenities, literally everything was exceptional. To top it off there were zebras in the estate too! But in all honesty, it was the nicest hotel / lodge I have ever stayed at. Pichy and Bjorn have honestly thought of it all and it honestly goes to show. The food, the experiences and their communication was 11/10. I would recommend Pure Sea Boutique Lodge to all. I really do hope that I will be back !

During our trip on the Garden Route, we wanted to go sharkdiving, so we intended to pass by Hermanus. However, upon finding Benguela on Booking, we decided to pass by Gansbaai instead. What a great choice that was! We could book a sharkdiving experience via a recommendation of the hotel and had a wonderful stay too: (i) our room had a pool view and was spacious, (ii) the property lies in a very quiet neighbourhood, so although the pool lies next to a road, there is no noise as there is no traffic, (iii) the owner Jonathan is an excellent host that manages to find a good balance between his guests’ privacy and the social angle and (iv) the dinner he cooked for us and the rest of the guests was excellent - it was also a nice experience to meet some of the other guests and hear about their backgrounds and travels. We would definitely recommend!

In this apartment you immediately feel comfortable, because you know how much love these friendly people have put into it. Deon and Linda are a real delight. They gave us valuable tips, helped with restaurant recommendations and provided us with a great breakfast. The wonderful place they've built is only outshone by their kindness. the room was comfy with a big balcony overlooking the Ocean and Walker Bay. the area is quiet and safe you can easily walk around. Willemien and Stewart are amazing hosts, give you good advices for dinner ( including reservation) and activities around. We enjoyed the excellent, fresh and lovely breakfast every morning. thank you for the good time we definitely will come back !

We had an international wine and food society event over the weekend so visited all the wineries in the area as well as Stanford. Gansbaai was in the middle, so to speak, so very convenient for trips.

The penguin rehabilitation centre was excellent. The harbour is not tourist friendly. If you come to Gansbaai you would love to eat take away fish, But Saturday ,late afternoon no fish and chips were open

It is close to De Kelders, where we saw MANY whales. it is close to Franskraal, which is beautiful. The Boat trip at Marine Dynamics was awesome and the food and atmosphere at the restaurant was exceptional.

Gansbaai was a comfortable city with spectacular views where our family explored the southern coast of South Africa. We discovered hidden beaches, spotted many beautiful Protea flowers, sunbathed on Pearly Beach, went to the fish market in the harbor at Gansbaai, lunched on butter chicken and fish and chips at the Blue Goose, restaurant on Hoop St, hiked Klipgat Caves at the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, glimpsed a pod of orcas, and a mother Southern Right whale and her calf, spotted three of the Marine Big 5, dined at the White House, saw Danger Point lighthouse along a four wheel drive track along the beach, found crazy amounts of beautiful shells on the beach. It was an epic adventure.

Amazing place and location.

The view and sound of the sea was wonderful. our host, Chris was very nice and accommodating. i hope we can go again and again. We will also take friends another time. We usually do self catering, but this room had all we needed, even a fridge and microwave and there are nice places to go for a meal in town. loved it!

Breathtaking views of the sea, calm location with a few options of restaurants nearby (need a car). Book the suite if you can, you never want to leave the place! Awewome staff, great breafkast, amazing sunsets. Great walks right by the hotel.
