We had such a lovely time, from the accommodation, the staff, the food and surroundings were great. The only problem we had was that our shower was leaking in the bathroom, and the whole bathroom was under water. but the staff moved us to another room, the shower did not leak, but all the tiles was loose in this bathroom as well. It was my second time visiting this place and still enjoyed it. The kids enjoyed the activities offered at the property and the adults loved the hiking routes and the flowing river which was very refreshing. We even discovered a nice swimming spot along the river and we had a blast swimming there. The pool area is also very entertaining for the whole family. Beautiful accommodation, beautiful scenery, staff helpful and friendly at Fairways. However, some of the activities/facilities at the Drakensberg Gardens Hotel were run down, damaged and impractical to use (such as putt-putt and badminton court). Some litter as well - surprisingly. It's a great place to always visit, whether with whole family/kids/partner/friend(s)...it serves the purpose. Outstandingly great service, warm staff from the reception and beyond. Rooms are clean as expected, nice and cool/warm, great scenery from the hotel rooms... breathe taking! We enjoyed the outdoor adventure activities(zip lining, skyline/rope course) and the Wellness(spa, jacuzzi & sauna). Please note: rock falls during rainy days.Guest review byMachili - 10.0

An absolutely beautiful resort, one of our favorite places to holiday. My hubby loves the camping area. Hippo Pools and the Water Park is a family favorite. It is so easy to get to get around the resort. Everything is neat, the gardens are well maintained (Well done to all the Staff, who always have a smile on their faces. From the moment you enter the main gate, to the reception area, to the lady taking care of our unit.. it was such a pleasure to be welcomed with such warmth and lovely smiles) There are lovely swimming pools with water slides, heated pool, jacuzzi, play area for kids, kids adventure, Golf, Mini golf, archery, hiking, and lots more.Guest review byAllievJSouth Africa - 10.0

The views are wonderful. Unit was excellent, very spacious. Buffet at Restaurant catered for a wide variety of foods. Activities are not included in pricing. There are however enough activities to keep children busy. Would have appreciated some guided walking tours around the area. Overall we had a lovely restful time.
