The photos on their page do not do justice, they seem outdated. The place exceeded our expectations because we wanted a functional room as we were in Mpumalanga for a funeral, but we really had a comfortable stay.

This is an exceptionally well run property. From superb 'out of africa' style tents with all mod cons to private plunge pools, this offering excels in every way. Days begin at 5am with game drives. There is an abundance of upland and lowland game where 4 of the Big 5 are on 18k hectares of natural habitat. The search for the elusive Leopards is a daily pursuit and highlight. The guides are knowledgeable and patient to guest requests. The food is of the highest quality. We will return.

The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn't do more for us. The location was stunning. Food was also exceptional. We will definitely go back again if ever re visiting (I'd love to get married there!!!). All round excellent - I wish we had booked for more than one night.

Covid has severely impacted business around Badplaas.

Covid has severely impacted business around Badplaas. We noticed quite a few resorts that had not survived. Forever Resorts denied access for day visitors over the Easter weekend, I believe that this would seriously jeopardise other resorts as there is nothing else to do in Badplaas.

We stayed at Dawsons, which was fabulous.

We stayed at Dawsons, which was fabulous. Badplaas is rundown and not a good place. Dawson's were our 3rd visit and we will be back again. Bertie and the WHOLE staff were attentive, accommodating and the Lodge beautiful and serene. The setting, views and surrounding area stunning. We will be back again.
