    What an interesting and wonderful area!

    What an interesting and wonderful area! It's beautiful and there's so much to see - from the city itself with its very lively market, to the pottery area with its iconic kilns, to the adjacent island of An Binh, which is rural and very beautiful. We ended up changing our plans to stay in the Vinh Long area several days longer.

    Vinh Long is a great city for tourists, as you experience local life easily. There are nearly no other tourists around, we only saw one other group on our 2 day trip. The city has great places to eat and is easy to discover by bike. The Bus station can be reached via West Bank Station in Ho Chi Minh. We were very grateful that the home stay Mekong Pottery offered organized trips and also the options to have dinner at the home stay. There was a lot of information provided on the website. The host was always present and open for answering our questions. We recommend the trips we booked via the home stay a lot! We had a great stay. The room and the outdoor bathroom are beautifully made and fit the surroundings so well. It's a little oasis for travellers.

    Van was friendly and helpful including helping us arrange bus journey to and from HCM which was cheap (110k) and went smoothly. Enjoyed the boat trip organised by the homestay which included visiting a fish farm, seeing a traditional musical performance, visiting a rice cake factory and visiting a very interesting local market Room was clean, mosquito net provided. Food was tasty and enjoyed playing pool and darts and watching boats pass by

    It was a good decision; I enjoyed the peace and quiet I needed, offered in all the facilities of Paris and Cafe hotel. This definitely added to the excellent and helpful service of the staff and young couple owner. We are sure that when we return to Vinh Long, we will go back to Paris and Cafe hotel and I will definitely recommend your hotel to my mate and family. Thanks again, see you soon.

    This is a beautiful, very smart, modern homestay in a tranquil setting. It was wonderful to listen to the sounds of nature. The staff were very friendly and Tuyen looked after us very well. It was possible to explore both An Binh island and Vinh Long by bicycle. The upstairs terrace would benefit from a fan so that it can be enjoyed more. The A/C in the room could be stronger.

    We had a great time at Mekong Pottery Homestay and especially enjoyed the tours, Yennie organized for us to get a deeper insight into the Mekong region and its local manufacturers. The homestay itself is lovely decorated while focusing on sustainability. The family was very welcoming and we highly recommend the offered lunch/ dinner.

    The hotel is conveniently located, you have the pier nearby so you can make a day trip to An Binh, the bed is comfortable, everything is clean and you can't hear anything from the other guests. For breakfast you can go to the Pho restaurant next door, in the evening you can go to the public square!
