A very beautiful location with a direct view of the luxurious rice fields. The most attractive terraced fields in Vietnam are located nearby. The rooms in the bungalows are rustic, but very nicely decorated and clean. But the most impressive thing is the exceptionally friendly staff. They read the guests' wishes from their eyes. In addition to breakfast, they also offer rich lunches. I highly recommend it!

This is an exceptional and truly charming hotel. For context, we are well travelled and have stayed in luxury hotels all over the world. There is something very special about Garrya Mu Cang Chai. Firstly, the hotel design is beautiful and reflects the local area. Stunning communal spaces with high bamboo ceilings, green marble tiles used in the pool, sun loungers the same colour as the soil etc. The staff are wonderful. Extremely helpful, proud to be working at the hotel and genuinely want you to have the best stay. Special mention to Luis in the bar and the F&B manager, but really, all the drivers, wait staff and reception have genuine smiles on their faces! They are also proud to employ local staff (H’Mong) that they are training up and again just really want to make your stay as good as possible. We were lucky enough to stay in a 2 bedroom villa with pool and it was beautiful. We also saw the rooms and if you are a couple, I would definitely recommend upgrading to the Grand Deluxe room, (not much more expensive and IMO the deluxe room is too small for a hotel of this calibre)! If you have a sense of adventure, the hotel can organise a motorbike trip to the horseshoe paddy and bamboo forest. Mu Cang Chai is an area of outstanding natural beauty and well worth exploring. This was one of our favourite parts of the trip. Spa is excellent, as were the activities organised by the hotel. Gently, but enough for 2-3 nights.

This was honestly the best homestay we had in Vietnam during our motorcycle tour! We got welcomed so heartwarming and felt like home up from the first Moment. We got the best food cooked doesn’t matter if breakfast, lunch or dinner - it was the best food we had in Vietnam! We liked our stay so much that we also extended for on more day (if we would have had more time then probably not just for one day!). This is a real secret paradise and if you have the chance to come and spend some time here, definitely do it! You definitely need to stay in this Homestay. We love everything and everyone. COMMON AREA: amazing, you have few tables where you can have breakfast and lunch, with a lovely views. During the night we ate at the main house with them. ROOM: we stay in a double room with Private bathroom and the best view ever to the rice field. Room was clean and comfy, we loved it. Mattress could be a little bit hard but for us was ok. FOOD: Absolutely AMAZING, all the things that they cook are extremely good. I am gluten and lactose intolerance and I didn’t have any problem there. I could eat everything. We specially love bamboo. FAMILY: They are super good, you feel that you are at home. They help you with everything and they are super flexible. We arrived super late during the night and they picked up us.

Ly and her husband are great hosts and make you feel comfortable in their lovely homestay. We loved our stay here. The food is delicious and homemade. The rooms are simple but comfortable enough. We did one day trek and one day moto, both activities were great. A truly authentic experience !
