It has a great vibe, busy without being overwhelming, a nice little promenade and park along the Mekong and a pretty good dining and street food scene. There were some Westerners, but it felt completely untouristy. Small town.
Small town. No Grab service in Chau Doc. went to Tra Su cajuput forest by Taxi, in a remote area and hard to get transportation to the forest, taxi driver waited ( I didn't ask him to wait) he wanted to make more money with the return to town trip. The host was very accommodating, informing us of where to eat and helping us book our ferry tickets to Cambodia. I loved the rooftop garden area which was so relaxing. This place is in walking distance of the boat stop to Phnom Penh (650m) and the perfect stop of point.
