The host was very kind and suggested us the best spots with views over the rice fields that we could visit. The lodge is sitting on top of a small hill overlooking the surrounding rice fields. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. You can also opt to eat dinner at the place, which we found very delicious. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to experience the real Vietnamese countryside life style.

A very beautiful location with a direct view of the luxurious rice fields. The most attractive terraced fields in Vietnam are located nearby. The rooms in the bungalows are rustic, but very nicely decorated and clean. But the most impressive thing is the exceptionally friendly staff. They read the guests' wishes from their eyes. In addition to breakfast, they also offer rich lunches. I highly recommend it!

Hello. It was really wonderfull. From the start to the end. We were vey happy and we will recommend this hotel to all our friends from Belgium who will come to visit the North of Vietnam. We recommend to stay at least 3 nights to enjoy the hiking area and one of the best rice field of the North of Vietnam. The room, the amenities and most important the staff at the reception like Paul (very helpful in French who has always been available physically and by WhatsApp) and all the people at the bar/reception / restaurants / Spa . A vacation that exceeded my expectations in Vietnam. I booked a room and immediately contacted the accommodation for directions—almost instantly, the host responded and even booked a bus ticket for me. He took care of everything from start to finish; all I had to do was follow the instructions. The next day, it rained in the early morning, but the weather cleared up beautifully afterward. I went on a motorbike tour with the host, Ky, who took me to some of the most stunning places I’ve seen throughout my trip in Vietnam. Along the way, I hardly saw any tourists—only local people working diligently in the fields. You simply wouldn't be able to reach places like these without a guide, as they are generally hard to access and not shown on local tourist maps. The room was basic but had everything I needed. Perched on a hillside with a stunning view, it was a perfect spot to relax. The food was also very good and suited my taste, all at a very reasonable price. I wholeheartedly recommend the homestay and taking a trip to explore Mu Cang Chai with the host.

This homestay exceeded my expectations. From the warm welcome to the send off, Nam and his wife made what was a good stay great. They met us at the bus station and brought us to their place with dinner ready to go. Nam's wife Xen is an incredible chef and made us delicious meals. I had come with an idea of things I wanted to see and do, and Nam went through them with me, adding additional recommendations or telling me what wasn't worth it. On one day, there were a few things I wanted to see, and Nam and the next door neighbour made time to give us a motorcycle tour all around the province so I could see everything on my list plus things they thought would be great (and they were right)! I cannot believe how much Nam and Xen (and their neighbour) went out of their way to make sure we had an incredible stay. Not to mention, the home is quite peaceful with lots of farm animals around! We already miss this family!

We loved everything, this place is wonderfull ! The owner is realy kind and a very cook ! We get very good tips to travel around. Ho, and you can have a room with a great view and very hot water !!!
