We have a 10 and 6 year old, obviously we did Mt. Olympus water Park, the Root Beer museum was cute and neat to walk around and see all the different types of Root Beers. We bought a few bottles to sample along with some candy. There was a ninja warrior course, kids had a blast and got nice tired 😉. The original duck ride was lots of fun to do with the kids and some down time for the parents. Knuckleheads was lots of fun as well and loved that there was so many activities to do in one place. The Dells is getting so expensive.
The Dells is getting so expensive. A lot of things to do but you better bring your ATM card too. Some new things every year but this year's visit kinda sucked. Noah's Ark was awesome as usual and free tickets if you stay at certain hotels. We really like the Grateful Shed for food. A lot of atmosphere and good food for a descent price. My son loves Wizard Quest in downtown. Cheddar golf stunk. Mountain was only ok. Glad I didn't pay for 3 runs, 1 was enough. Pirates Cove mini golf is always a win. Monks burgers are great too. Very much feeling like this place needs more attention to...
Very much feeling like this place needs more attention to renovation, cleanliness and care of resorts. Noah's Ark needs more attention to upkeeping it's paint jobs and sidewalks. Loved the theme of Mt Olympus however the motels looked gross and poor condition. Poseidons Rage was awesome. Downtown was very much at tourist trap for the most part, howvere we liked the District and music there and boardwalk. The Caribbean Resort could have been nice in it's day, but they are letting it get rundown. They did not even weed the beach, and rooms there had chips in walls, and wobbly furniture. Grand Marquis was run down decor as well. Looks like they are letting that area go up in price, and not reinvesting in the care or up keep of the area. Noe well maintained, and expensive food, drinks and everytthing had a charge. Poor customer service, not very happy staff everywhere we went. Wisconsin Dells is a classic family vacation spot, and while it's known for its many large, expensive resorts, it's absolutely possible to have a great time without breaking the bank. With a little planning, budget-conscious families can enjoy the fun and excitement the area has to offer. One of the key things to consider is waterpark passes. Many resorts include waterpark admission with your stay, but if you're not staying at a resort, day passes are an option. The Kalahari waterpark offers day passes, and while the price can be steep, it's often a good deal depending on the day of the week or time of year. We go to Wisconsin Dells almost annually and have been coming since our oldest kids were about 4 (now is 20). We have seen a lot of development and changes over the years. We always search for the best budget deals for our large family and have rarely had a bad experience. I highly recommend that you double-check if a hotel claims they give waterpark passes (some websites are out of date and some hotels only give 2 passes, even if the room capacity is 4). We LOVE Pizza Pub. It's large, delicious and doesn't have the wait of Moosejaw. We have stayed at several hotels with no issues. The Vue and Land of Natura is our newest favorite. We have experienced Noah's Ark, Knuckleheads, Mt Olympus, Timbvarti Zoo, the downtown area and Land of Natura.Guest review byelizabethUnited States
