Whiteville was good, but there is construction going on. There was a good amount of food choices. I would definitely check the sanitation rating when going to eating spots. No Chickfila, no Popeyes, no Circle K.

There was a great deal of construction out on the main road. But of course that had nothing to do with the hotel. You just have to be careful leaving and arriving. we ate dinner at a local establishment called pig Ford’s. Having eaten there many times over the years when in town and it has never disappoint it.

Whiteville is the typical small southern city built on a large farming community that now struggles to survive as the economy has turned more toward technology and manufacturing. It survives due to its location relevant to several surrounding cities and vacation destinations. People are friendly and definitely appreciate any business you can toss their way.
