Beautiful location, large room with balcony overlooking the pool and forest. Blissfully quiet and peaceful. Lovely restaurant next door. I arrived late and found my room key waiting for me at the office - it was the easiest check-in ever!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. About 70pc of the furniture is original 19th century. It's lovingly maintained, atmospheric and one of the best values in California. The staff are fabulous.

We arrived on a lively night at Hotel Sutter as Sutter Creek had its spring fling and the staff were still very responsive, polite and helpful getting us checked in and moving up a dinner reservation. The room was clean and comfortable and the location in the middle of town is unbeatable. Dinner in their restaurant was also very good.
